Got an interesting text message today.

I hope Tommy, Clay and Kenny bring their "A" game cause a couple of guys will definitely be taking notes.

My guess is that the Tigers will look competitive until 1 or 2 thing go wrong and UT capitalizes. The team will begin to let down as they have throughout the year. Tommy will stand by and watch with bewilderment on his face. At this point all will know it is over.

Is Lane considering hiring Tommy?

Im afraid its could get ugly up there fast and with UT's front seven I think running yards will be hard to come by

I just want to see Will Hudgens go out with a bang and play the game of his career. Hopefully the o-line will provide some protection and let Will get it to the playmakers and Helton won't pucker up with his playcalling.

Ingram will have to call the finest game of his very short career as a DC.

And as always when playing in Knoxville, penalties and the kicking game factor in heavily. A 100,000 hillbillies screaming at the top of their lungs make it extremely difficult to hear the snap counts and fielding punts or kicks in that nuthouse is a scary thing.

Like it is going to make a difference at this point as I see it, as a University of Memphis player are not you playing for yourself ultimately? I hope Memphis does not get blown out, but I do not see it happening. I wish I could be more positvie, but for me now that is not possible.

I think we all want to see WH have a good game. But truth is, he's making mistakes against INFERIOR CUSA defenses. He won't be able to handle Monty's D.

I am going to the game. Yikes!
I think it will be brutal because Lane is no Phil. Phil was conservative and had some respect for us. He would not unload on us like a Louisiana directional school. Lane will.

Tennessee has SEVERAL starters who will not be playing. I think the Memphis players will play much harder than they have in any game this year. They will feed off the football atmosphere in Neyland.

I agree with 100%...

I just believe as soon as some adversity hits they will lay down. We need to start off very well to have a shot. If we even let them get ahead by more than 7 I feel this squad will quit and we will be blown out after that.

If the Big Boys are even still debating this, we are in more trouble than I thought.

Assume it's a show trial. Verdict si probably already in, but the masses need the show of august deliberation.

I hate to say it, but if UM wins today it could give TW a last breath as coach... I want to win whatever game we play, but as much fun as a UTk win is, would it be enough to gain TW another year?

TW for another year isn't a deal breaker if the magical BE train comes to the rescue. Mickey Mouse could coach one last year under those circumstances. But if we keep TW and don't get our BCS ticket, you'll hear crickets at the LB next year...

IF the BE is coming 2012 we have two years to try and make this program somewhat competitive....and after 9 years look where we are, that should be the ONLY answer the admin and money needs.

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table.
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done.
